Starfish funds Early Childhood Development support across multiple provinces in South Africa. These programs help children receive foundational education, developmental support, and the daily structure they need during their most important early years.
For many children, the meals they receive through Starfish-supported programs are among the most reliable sources of food they have each day. Nutritional support helps children concentrate, participate in learning, and grow into stronger individuals.

After losing her mother at a young age, Naledi’s world changed dramatically.
Her grandmother stepped in to care for her, despite facing the heavy burden of providing for her on a limited income and living in a one-room shack. Like many caregivers across South Africa, Naledi’s grandmother became her source of love, safety, and stability during an incredibly difficult time.
With support from generous donors, Naledi attended a safe preschool where she received nutritious meals, educational support, healthcare, and the nurturing environment every child deserves. With these essential services in place, Naledi began to heal and flourish.
Today, she is thriving, surrounded by care and opportunity, showing how comprehensive support can help vulnerable children overcome hardship and build brighter futures.
