Meet Irene

We are excited to introduce you to Irene Stewart, who will be taking on the Cape Town Marathon on May 23, 2027, while raising funds for Starfish Greathearts Foundation. Over the next few months, Irene will be training for 42.2 kilometers, one early-morning long run at a time, determined step by step.

For Irene, the race is about more than reaching the finish line. She is using this challenge to support children across South Africa with the education, nutrition, healthcare, and social welfare they need to thrive.
