How it Works

1. Sign up to host

Choose a date, place, and style of gathering that works for you. It can be a dinner, brunch, coffee morning, office lunch, backyard get-together, or any meaningful time with your people. Sign up to start your fundraiser.

Instructions:

- - Click the "Create Your Event" button below.
  - Enter your information (your friends can "Join a Team" so they are giving to your fundraiser.)
  - When you're done, share with your friends!
  - Email Marlize Adair to let her know you started your fundraising event.

2. Receive your Gather for Good Host Box

We’ll send you a Host Box filled with everything you need to share Starfish’s story and make your gathering simple, warm, and meaningful.

Your box will include a host guide, impact stories, table materials, talking points, QR codes, and a link to the Gather for Good gift catalog. Make sure you email Marlize Adair to get your box sent to your house!

3. Send your e-invite

Invite your friends, family, coworkers, or neighbors using our simple e-invite template. Your e-invitation can include a link to the Gather for Good gift catalog, where guests can choose a meaningful gift for children in South Africa, instead of bringing a hostest gift.

4. Host your gathering

Set the table, share a meal or conversation, and take a few minutes to tell your guests why Starfish matters. Don't forget to take lots of photos. (We would love to share your photos and add it to our website!)

5. Invite guests to give through the catalog

Guests can make their gift directly through the Gather for Good catalog by choosing items that provide nutritious meals, healthcare, education, and caring support for children.

6. Celebrate the good you created

After your event, Starfish will share the impact of your gathering so you can thank your guests and show them how their gifts are making a difference.
