We offer challenges and events throughout the year to engage our supporters and provide them with exciting opportunities. From the breathtaking beauty of the Royal Parks in autumn to the exhilarating atmosphere of the London Marathon in the spring, our sporty schedule is designed to cater to all interests and abilities. Whether you are a seasoned athlete or a recreational runner, there is something for everyone to get involved in. By participating in these challenges, you not only get to push your limits and accomplish personal goals but also support vulnerable children.

Royal Parks Half Marathon

Event date: Sunday 11 October 2026 - Sign up deadline 20 AUGUST. 

The Royal Parks Half Marathon is London’s original 13.1-mile running event. The route takes place on closed roads and goes through four of London’s beautiful royal parks: Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens. The race is also the greenest of its kind in the UK!

If you wish to enter the Royal Parks Half Marathon on behalf of Starfish Greathearts Foundation, you can sign up here. With an incredible half marathon completed, you can rest assured that your fundraising has made a valuable difference to the vulnerable children we support in South Africa.

Tough Mudder 5K, London South

Event dates: Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026

Gear up for some seriously muddy obstacles at the 5K Tough Mudder event, London South. An event like no other, the Tough Mudder has a full range of obstacles created with a wicked sense of humour. Why not tackle challenges like the ‘blockness monster’ and the ‘mudderhorn’ to fundraise for charity and achieve the iconic orange headband at the end of the 5K?

Thames Path Ultra Challenge

When: Sunday 12 September 2026

The Thames Path Ultra Challenge is a tough, but rewarding route, stretching over 100km along England's most famous river. The trail kicks off at Putney Bridge, and finishes in Henley-on-Thames, with the river providing an unforgettable backdrop to this challenge. If the entire length feels like too tall of a task, the event also provides shorter distance options.

Run Cheltenham 10K

When: Sunday 20 September 2026

There’s something for everyone at the Run Cheltenham races, including the perfect middle-ground 10K. With the start and finish line at the stunning Cheltenham Racecourse, participants can expect fabulous views of the countryside along the closed-road route.

London Marathon 2027

When: Saturday 24 April 2027

The London Marathon is London's premier running event; the course passes through some of London's most iconic landmarks, including the Tower Bridge, and an epic finish along the Mall, alongside 60,000 other runners.
