Why are we fundraising for Starfish?

Orphaned kiddos in South Africa face so many challenges. Going to school and learning to read and write is just one of them. But an education can literally be life-changing for these little ones and gives them the chance to break the cycle of poverty. If these kids can do hard things - so can we!

Here's what's happening:

We are going ice swimming in the Memphremagog Winter Swimming Festival in Vermont at the end of February to raise enough money to send five little ones to school this year. These kids are on the waiting list and need to be in school, but their caregivers can't afford the fees.

It costs just $42 per month (or $420 for the 10-month year) to send a child to school as well as for Starfish Greathearts to provide them with nutritious meals and healthcare!

We have until February 22nd to raise $2,100 to make 5 little ones smile!
