This year, I hope to achieve two goals in one day: compete in the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon and raise a boatload of funds for Starfish, an organization I've supported for over 20 years as a donor and board member.

Starfish was started by a university friend who couldn’t look away from the poverty and neglect faced by so many orphaned children in South Africa. Inspired by the Starfish Parable, I believe that helping even one child makes a difference.

Over the years, I've watched Starfish grow, providing essential nutrition, healthcare, and education to thousands of children.

I want to invite more friends and colleagues to join this amazing cause.  Here I am with my training partner, Brad, whose jersey color reminds me of the Starfish logo, and hopefully, it inspires your support, too.
