Why I am fundraising for Starfish?

The orphaned children of South Africa are a cause very close to my heart. I was recently shocked to learn that a staggering. 81% of grade 4 learners are unable to read for comprehension. There is an education crisis in South Africa, but with your support, 10 children can go to school this year.

Here's what's happening.

Myself, and 3 close friends (see the pic - Quinton, Ziya, and Angus) are participating in the Cape Epic in South Africa in March Learn More: to raise enough money to send 10 children to school for a year (10 months). These children are on the waiting list and need to be in school, but their parent/s or caregivers cannot afford the fees.

It costs only $42.00 to send a child to school for a month. When you make your gift today, you will provide a child with nutritional meals and snacks, healthcare, cover her school fees, and so much more.

We have until March 31 to raise $4,200.

Please help me raise enough money so the 10 children on the waitlist can go to school.
